SWAP PARIS - LONDON

Galerie kreo and Simon Lee Gallery are pleased to announce a “swap” between Paris and London planned for September 2010.

Simon Lee Gallery will be inhabiting the Galerie Kreo space, presenting a selection of artworks by some of our own celebrated artists, in a playful exhibition that will re-contextualise the works and question the perceived boundaries between art and design. In a light-hearted nod to Galerie Kreo and the exchange, we will present object based works with utilitarian undertones in the context of a design environment to create a mischievous and original exhibition.

The designers from the Galerie kreo are taking up residence in London at the Simon Lee Gallery. The exhibition will include a selection of major pieces from Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, Pierre Charpin, Konstantin Grcic, Hella Jongerius, Jasper Morrison, Marc Newson, Martin Szekely...
These pieces are all emblematic of the work of each designer and come from various collections produced since the gallery opened. Works of art, chosen according to how they resonate with the work of these designers, will also be presented in the exhibition space.
